Air Force 1st Lt. Shane House and several medical air crew members load patients onto ambulances before loading them onto an aircraft for the first non-stop medical evacuation flight from Bagram, Afghanistan to Landstuhl, Germany, March 21. The normal three to five day route through Kuwait to Landstuhl has been reduced to a ten hour direct flight to provide faster service to wounded DoD civilians and service members.
