Chris-Shanti La’ Connia Jackson has been selected as one of four military kids of the year by the “Our Military Kid” program. The Our Military Kid program is a nonprofit organization that provides grants to the children of soldiers who are serving on active duty. The grant of $500 allows the child to participate in activities; Chris-Shanti used her grant to further her talent in tumbling and cheerleading.
