Clyde Penn guides Brig. Gen. Julian D. Alford and Sgt. Maj. Scott Grade through the process of signing a pledge form for the Combined Federal Campaign at the John A. Lejeune Hall aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, Sept. 9. The CFC’s mission is to promote philanthropy through a program that is effective in providing all federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all. “The CFC is an opportunity for Marines and government employees to give back to those in need in our country,” said Lt. Col. Jan-Hendrik Zurlippe. “This centralizes the charities to make it easier for those of us in uniform to donate, to make this country a better place.” Penn is the president and CEO for Penngood Corporation. Alford is the commanding general for Marine Corps Installations East and MCB Camp Lejeune. Grade is the sergeant major for Marine Corps Installations East and MCB Camp Lejeune. Zurlippe is the 2nd Marine Division comptroller. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Pfc. Nicholas Lubchenko)
