Lance Cpl. William Lunsford is with the Logistics Combat Element of the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit currently poised to support Task Force 51/5th Marine Expeditionary Brigade with crisis response capabilities. The MEU and America Amphibious Ready Group is able to position itself anywhere in the area of responsibility to ensure they are consistently “where it matters, when it matters.” Lunsford is participating in Alligator Dagger where he and the Marines are conducting combat rehearsals of amphibious maneuvers to increase the MEU-ARG’s efficiency to better respond to crises, ranging from humanitarian assistance and disaster relief missions to combat operations in the event there is a need for an immediate response to a crisis. Lunsford is from Newport, Tennessee.
