    5th Mobile Public Affairs Detachment

U.S. Army Sgt. Robelto Vasquez, Jr. of the 82nd Airborne Division from Fort Bragg, N.C., fuels a vehicle in preparation for a convoy from Fort Stewart, Georgia, to Camp Blanding, Florida, Sept. 12.

Vasquez is one of many Soldiers assisting in Task Force All American Lift to support The Federal Emergency Management Agency and the state of Florida in Hurricane Irma relief.

Vasquez, a native of St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands, has family residing in the storm’s path. Vasquez experienced a hurricane in St. Croix when he was a toddler.

“It’s nerve-wracking,” Vasquez said. “It means a lot to be able to give a helping hand to people without power or food.”
