Philadelphia – Kevin Walker, a Naval Acquisition Development Program (NADP) system engineer homeported at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD), makes power modifications to a navigation programmable logic controller at the Navy Yard in Philadelphia Aug. 11, 2017. U.S. Navy ship systems often process unique configurations and the integrated testing NSWCPD performs ensures that necessary component modifications are implemented prior to ship installation. NADP is a Naval Acquisition Career Center program in which entry, as well as associate level, engineers are collaboratively developed and placed in naval organizations throughout the country in order to broaden the skills of the Department of the Navy’s Acquisition Workforce.
