SOUTH CHINA SEA (Aug. 28, 2017) Lance Cpl. Kane Hensley, a native of Virginia Beach, Virginia, assigned to the Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 161 (reinforced) aboard the amphibious transport dock ship USS San Diego (LPD 22), removes a rotor cover of an AH-1Z Viper attack helicopter on the ship’s flight deck. San Diego, part of the America Amphibious Ready Group, with embarked 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, is operating in the Indo-Asia Pacific region to strengthen partnerships and serve as a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
