The MAGTF Command and Control Naval Integration Team, led by Afloat C4 Systems Integration Officer and Team Lead Capt. Jose Gonzalez and Joint and Naval C4 Integration Branch Head Herb Schweiter, received the Group Engineering Excellence Award for the team during the Dr. Delores M. Etter Top Scientists and Engineers Annual Awards Ceremony July 13 at the Pentagon. The team led an effort that allowed Marines embarking aboard Navy ships to rapidly establish secure, integrated networks, enhancing the command and control of forward-deployed naval forces across the globe.
