While training for "A Hike for Help," Maj. Ian Brooks, platoon commander for 4th Platoon, 4th Force Reconnaissance Company, 4th Marine Division, enjoys the scenery of Marine Corps Base Hawaii. "A Hike for Help" is Brooks' personal charity hike for the Wounded Warrior Regiment, an organization that helps service members return from injuries to active duty or transition to civilian life. Brooks has schedule three months of hiking to cover 2,000 miles of the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine.
