Robert Gerome, a canine handler for the Arizona Department of Administration, and his canine, Ruger, search for explosives planted in a room during the National Police Canine Association’s certification at the Arizona National Guard’s Combined Support Maintenance Shop Jan. 27. The NPCA certified a record 267 canine teams in the Arizona National Guard’s CSMS within eight days.
