170801-N-AC254-016 PACIFIC OCEAN (August 1, 2017) Fire Controlman 2nd Class Beatriz Morris, a native of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Fire Controlman 3rd Class Adriana White, a native of Suffolk, Virginia, both assigned to the Combat Systems department aboard the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6), conduct maintenance on a rolling airframe missile launcher on the ship’s missile deck. America, part of the America Amphibious Ready Group, with embarked 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, is operating in the Indo-Asia Pacific region to strengthen partnerships and serve as a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
