Dr. (Col.) Bruce Guerdan, the air surgeon for the Florida Air National Guard, is the first Air Guard physician to deploy as a Critical Care Air Transport Team member. These three-person teams will deploy to Ramstein Air Force Base, Germany, throughout 2011 to escort intensive care patients from downrange to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany or Landstuhl to a medical center in Washington, D.C., or San Antonio, Texas.
