Americans and Iraqis dine together at an Iraqi Air Force cafeteria in Basra, Iraq, Dec. 7. Among the Americans were service members who had been wounded during Operation Iraqi Freedom. “We in Iraq are so thankful for the U.S. soldiers who helped us get rid of Saddam’s regime after living under his dictatorship for decades,” said one Basrawi.
