    Medina graduate participates in Caribbean exercise Tradewinds 2017

    U.S. Navy Reserve Lt. Daniel S. Marciniak speaks with local primary student Onri Salankey while pointing at a U.S. Army UH-60L helicopter during a community relations (COMREL) event on Paragon Base, in Christ Church, Barbados. Students visited the base to participate in the Tradewinds 2017 COMREL event that allowed local school children to meet with members of the armed forces from multiple participating countries, ask them questions, and check out their equipment up close. Marciniak is the deputy public affairs lead for exercise Tradewinds 2017 in Barbados and is a Medina, New York native serving with U.S. Southern Command Headquarters in Miami, Florida. Military and civilians from over 20 countries are participating in Tradewinds 2017 in Barbados, and Trinidad and Tobago, which runs from June 6-17, 2017.
