Sgt. Jarred N. Bluecoat accompanied by his wife, Carla, cut the ribbon at his residence in Nugent Cove, Nov. 17, in celebration of the 3,000th home Atlantic Marine Corps Communities has built or renovated since 2005. The Bluecoat family was joined by Sgt. Maj. Jerry L. Bailey, MCAS Cherry Point sergeant major, and Kathleen M. Murney, project director.
The Bluecoat residence is among 200 new homes, some still in construction, that offer an improved quality of living. The houses are all 1,600-1,900 square feet, have three to four bedrooms, two-car garages and are energy efficient. “I am real proud to offer these homes to Marines like Sgt. Bluecoat and his family,” said Murney. “It is an improved quality of life for our Marines and their families for years to come.”
