Ray Delbridge, assigned to Royal Fleet Auxiliary ship Lyme Bay, throws a line to HMS Chiddenfold prior to rafting during a joint exercise. Rafting occurs when two ships pull close to each other in open water to transfer supplies through the use of a gangway. Chiddenfold and Lyme Bay are part of Combined Task Force 151 deployed in support of maritime security operations in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
