Representatives from National Grid, the supplier of electricity and natural gas to Naval Station Newport, present a ceremonial rebate check to Capt. Joseph Voboril, commanding officer of Naval Station Newport. The $606,856 check is the sum total of rebates for equipment installed as part of an energy savings performance contract with Naval Station Newport. The total energy cost savings since the energy conservation measures were installed is approximately $1.01 million.
