More than 100 coalition service members and contractors came together at Camp Safra aboard Camp Leatherneck to participate in a reading of prayer, to begin the day in celebration of the Muslim holiday, Eid-Ul-Adha, Nov. 16. Eid-Ul-Adha, came about to honor the sacrifice that Abraham was willing to make of his own son Ishmael's life, when he was commanded to prove his commitment to Allah. At the request of Allah, a ram's life was substituted for Ishmael's, but only after Allah was convinced that Abraham would indeed sacrifice Ishmael to prove his faith.
