Capt. Erin Demchko, a native of Pearl River, New York, stars as the main character in the Marine Corps' latest advertisement, "Battle Up," which prominently focuses on a female Marine for the first time. Before filming, Demchko read the script and said she felt it was a true depiction of what it takes to be a Marine. "It's a huge honor to even be selected to do something like this," Demchko said. "I'm thankful to be part of [this commercial] and be able to contribute positively to the history of the Marine Corps."
