American K-9 Detection Services dog handler Andre Le Roux a Victoria, South Africa native and his explosive detector dog, Sonny, take a break after a partnered dismounted patrol throughout Panjwai'i District in Kandahar province, Oct 8. Due to the use of explosives used against both civilian and military service members, the use of EDD teams have increased patrolling military installations, assisting in vehicle checkpoints and helping find buried explosive devices.
