Members of the 149th Fighter Wing, headquartered at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, wore jeans and specialy-designed T-shirts provided by their wing's Sexual Assault Response Coordinator in honor of Denim Day April 26, 2017.
Denim Day began as a grassroots campaign when a rape conviction was overturned because the teenage victim was wearing tight jeans. The event promotes the message that there is never an excuse for rape, and Texas Military Department employees wear their jeans to show support for survivors of sexual assault.
