Coast Guard offloads $6.6 million worth of seized cocaine in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic
Coast Guard offloaded and transferred custody of three suspected smugglers and numerous bales of cocaine to U.S. federal law enforcement authorities in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. In total, approximately 200 kilograms of cocaine worth an estimated wholesale value of $6.6 million dollars was interdicted Dec. 14, 2016 in the Caribbean Sea as a result multi-agency law enforcement efforts in support of Operation Unified Resolve and Operation Caribbean Guard.
