Rct. Noah C. Bell, an 18-year-old native of Taylor Mill, Ky., is currently training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, S.C., in hopes of earning the title United States Marine. Bell is training with Platoon 2005, Fox Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, and is scheduled to graduate Jan. 13, 2017. “I wanted to do my part to fight our country’s enemies and to uphold the Marines’ core values as my own,” said Bell, who graduated from Scott High School in 2016. Approximately 19,000 recruits come to Parris Island annually for the chance to become United States Marines by enduring 13 weeks of rigorous training. Parris Island is home to entry-level enlisted training for 49 percent of male recruits and 100 percent of female recruits in the Marine Corps. (Photo by Lance Cpl. Aaron Bolser)
