Asmatullah Khan and Muhammad Farooq, Pakistani Navy sailors, perform defensive take down drills during a visit, board search, and seizure training exercise at Mina Salman Pier. The week long VBSS training consists of a series of situational exercises to prepare the sailors for counter-piracy operations in the Gulf of Aden. VBSS training supports maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
