Lt. Cmdr. Jason Longwell, flight surgeon for the Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 22 "Sea Knights," directs Petty Officer 1st Class Sara Ramos, a hospital corpsman, and Petty Officer 3rd Class Julio Guardadorubio, a hospital corpsman, as they perform a skin lesion excision in USS Wasp (LHD 1) medical June 21. Longwell is currently seeing patients on Wasp specifically to look at, and if necessary remove, skin lesions and lumps, and also to perform vasectomies for those interested.
