Col. Daniel Parks, the 26th Brigade Support Battalion battle surgeon, is presented the Defense Superior Service Medal for his duties as a White House physician, during a recent ceremony at Contingency Operating Site Marez in Mosul, Iraq. Parks, a Canton, Mass., native, served in the White House from September 2001 to March 2009, under Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama.
