Sgt. 1st Class Kenny Kachena, of Grand Forks, N.D., works with a civilian contractor to recheck the tower level after relocating the Rapid Aerostat Initial Deployment tower camera system at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan. Kachena is part of about 40 Soldiers serving in Afghanistan with the 1st Battalion, 188th Air Defense Artillery Regiment of the North Dakota Army National Guard. Capt. Walyn Vannurden, of Cavalier, N.D., commands the unit, along with a Sentinel Radar mission from North Dakota that operates both in Afghanistan and Iraq.
