Regina Duckett (right), from Montgomery, Ala., Military Police Soldiers assigned to the 214th Military Police Company, Alabama Army National Guard, prepare to commemorate the return of their unit from deployment in a ceremony at the Charles E. Bailey Sports Complex, here, Sept. 3, 2016.
Approximately 135 Soldiers of the 214th M.P. Co. deployed, in Oct. 2015, for their assignment with Joint Task Force Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, where they contributed to the external security force mission of conducting safe, humane, legal and transparent care and custody of detainees being held there.
Guests in attendance to welcome the unit home included select leaders of the Alabama Army National Guard, several groups of military veterans, city council members, media reporters and the families and friends of the Soldiers of the 214th M.P. Co.
