Newman, of Elizabeth Lake, Calf., a driver with 2nd Squad, 1st Platoon, Company A, 2nd Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, Task Force Rock, helps unload medical supplies at the Fateme Comprehensive Health Clinic in the Noorgal District of eastern Afghanistan's Kunar province, April 18. His unit was there to conduct a village medical outreach. His unit, members of civil affairs, local healthcare providers and the Afghan provincial government worked together to organize and execute the VMO.
