Making it happen...Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Bouara Mongkhonvilay (L) and Hospitalman Eva Aguilar-Ortega (R), both assigned to Branch Health Clinic Everett, provided logistical support for handling 'simulated national stockpile medical supplies' during the joint earthquake exercise, Cascadia Rising 2016, June 6-14, 2016. Mongkhonvilay and Ortega primarily assisted U.S. Army personnel in handling supply drops in the region. The Navy Region Northwest (NRNW) Emergency Operations Center would receive notification that the supply drop would be at Paine Field and Navy Medicine capabilities were tested in timely receiving the needed medical supplies then transporting to the clinic to assist in the ongoing care of patients in the post disaster training scenario. Mongkhonvilay and Ortega also worked with U.S. Northern Command, Naval Station Everett Emergency Management staff, Homeland Security, Snohomish County Department of Emergency Management and Urban Areas Security Initiative Management for the medical supply pickup as part of the training (Official Navy Photo).
