U.S. Army 1st Lt. James Hester (center), a civil affairs team leader with Company B, 422nd Civil Affairs Battalion, and workers at a primary school in Khandari, northwest of Baghdad, hand out new backpacks containing school supplies for the children March 17. Hester, a native of Tybee Island, Ga., and working with 4th Battalion, 9th Infantry Regiment, 4th Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, is currently serving in Iraq.
