Every Marine had to sprint with ammo cans, buddy drag, fireman carry and lunge across a field in order to move on to the next station during the squad competition. The squad-level competition determined which rifle squad or weapons platoon section had the best physical fitness, small-unit leadership, and cohesion within Company C. Davis, from Wichita, Kansas, and Anderson, from Simi Vally, California, are riflemen with 2nd Platoon, 1st Squad, Company C, 1st Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, Marine Rotational Force – Darwin.
