Soldiers assigned to the U.S. Eighth Army participate in a tug-of-war contest during KATUSA Friendship Week 2016 at U.S. Army Garrison Yongsan, South Korea Apr. 19, 2016. KATUSAs, or Korean Augmentation to the U.S. Army soldiers, serve as the primary link between U.S. and Republic of Korea armies. The purpose of KATUSA Friendship Week is to build camaraderie between the armies and within the U.S. Army units that KATUSA soldiers are assigned.
