Sgt. 1st Class Brandon E. Keeler poses with Pvt. Megan Reaska, after the 20-year old University of Iowa student became the first female to enlist in the Iowa Army National Guard as a combat engineer. She becomes only the third female to enlist within a Combat Arms unit of the Iowa Army National Guard. Following Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training, she will become a member of Company A, Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 34th Infantry Division in Davenport, Iowa.
