Virginia National Guard soldiers from the Charlottesville-based Company C, 429th Brigade Support Battalion of the 116th Brigade Combat Team load 100 blankets provided by the Dillwyn Correctional Center and transported them a shelter in Nelson County late in the evening, Dec. 19. The Virginia National Guard has soldiers on state active duty to assist state and local agencies in response to severe winter weather across the state.
