Armed and ready, an MQ-1 Predators rolls on the taxiway May 31, 2006, at Balad Air Base, Iraq. The Predator is a medium-altitude, long endurance, remotely piloted aircraft that can carry two laser-guided Hellfire anti-tank missiles. Leading the biggest unmanned aerial vehicle operation in the world, the 46th Expeditionary Reconnaissance Squadron here patrolled the skies over Iraq for more than 2,250 hours in May.
