151208-N-ZZ999-001 NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (Dec. 8, 2015) - Sailors from Navy Cargo Handling Battalion 1 (NCHB 1) perform maintenance checks on slings prior to use on board the USNS 1st LT Jack Lummus (T-AK 3010) prior to beginning an instream loading exercise. NCHB 1 is the Navy's only active duty cargo handling battalion and one of eight battalions under Navy Expeditionary Logistics Support Group (NAVELSG).
