    Yeoman 2nd Class Jordan Guevara, center, salutes a flag flown in honor of her late grandfather, Woodrow “Woody” Duffin, on Pearl Harbor Day aboard Resolute Support Headquarters, Kabul, Afghanistan. Duffin, a chief quartermaster, enlisted in the Navy in 1939 and was a survivor of the Pearl Harbor attack, serving on the USS California (BB-44). He received 17 battle stars, two purple hearts and a bronze star. Guevara, of Cottage Grove, Wisconsin, is continuing her family’s legacy of service as a Navy Reserve individual augmentee assigned to Combined Security Transition Command-Afghanistan.
