Petty Officer 1st Class (AW/SW) Cory Schwisow, an aviation boatswain's mate, leads a Foreign Object Damage walk-down of Sailors, Marines, Soldiers and Airmen on the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) Dec. 9, 2009. Wasp currently has two Army UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters and an Army CH-47 Chinook helicopter assigned to Joint Task Force-Bravo, headquartered in Honduras, embarked as well as five Marine CH-53E Super Stallion helicopters and two Navy SH-60 Sea Hawks. Wasp is currently deployed on Southern Partnership Station-Amphib with Destroyer Squadron 40 and embarked Security Cooperation Marine Air-Ground Task Force. Southern Partnership Station is part of the Partnership of the Americas Maritime Strategy that focuses on building interoperability and cooperation in the region to meet common challenges.
