The Missouri Air National Guard 's 131st Bomb Wing Heritage Park, located at Whiteman Air Force Base, officially opened in June 2015, but the installation is now complete with the addition of lava rock around the base of each aircraft and the Minuteman statue. The park is home to a McDonnell Douglas F-4E Phantom, McDonnell Douglas F-15A Eagle, and a North American F-100F Supersabre. The wing’s aviation history is quite extensive dating back to its first aircraft in 1923, the Curtiss JN-4 "Jenny," on up to the present day Northrup Grumman B-2 "Spirit." The wing has flown 50+ different model aircraft through the years. (U.S. Air National Guard photo by Senior Master Sgt. Mary-Dale Amison)
