151114-N-KW492-033 GULF OF ADEN (Nov. 14, 2015) Aviation Ordnanceman 3rd Class Matthew Maikell, from Spring Town, Texas, takes a shield off of a pod of inert 2.75 inch "Mighty Mouse" rockets attached to an MH-60S Seahawk aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3). Kearsarge is the flagship for the Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and, with the embarked 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
