U.S. Forces Afghanistan celebrated a transfer of authority today as Maj. Gen. Jeffrey Bannister, 10th Mountain Division, Light Infantry, assumed the position of Deputy commander for USFOR-A in place of Maj. Gen. James Rainey and the 3rd Infantry Division.
