WATERS OFF PALAWAN, Philippines (Oct. 2, 2015) – Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) service members board a landing craft air cushion (LCAC), assigned to Naval Beach Unit (NBU) 7, as part of Amphibious Landing Exercise 2016 (PHIBLEX 16). PHIBLEX 16 is an annual, bilateral training exercise conducted by U.S. Marine and Navy forces with the AFP in order to strengthen interoperability and working relationships across the range of military operations- from disaster relief, to complex expeditionary operations.
