Faculty and staff at the Daniel K. Inouye Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies, located in Waikiki, have educated, empowered and connected nearly 10,000 U.S. and international security practitioners in the interest of building peace and stability in the Asia-Pacific region. The organization celebrated its 20th Anniversary Oct. 6. Department of Defense officials Adm. Harris Jr., commander of U.S. Pacific Command, and Kelly Magsamen, deputy assistant secretary of defense for Asian and Pacific Security Affairs, paid tribute to the Center as guest speakers.
