Rct. Michael T. Freeman, a 19-year-old native of Powder Springs, Ga., is currently training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, S.C., in hopes of earning the title United States Marine. Freeman is training with Platoon 1080, Charlie Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, and is scheduled to graduate Oct. 16, 2015. “I joined for the brotherhood and the bond you can’t find anywhere else,” said Freeman, who graduated from Hillgrove High School in 2014.
