Gina Raimondo visited Naval Station (NAVSTA) Newport this morning for her first official visit to the installation since assuming her position last January. Her 90-minute visit was hosted by Capt. Dennis R. D. Boyer, commanding officer of Naval Station Newport, and included a special visit to the Surface Warfare Officers School Command, windshield tour of the installation including stops on Pier 2 and a quick lunch inside NAVSTA's award winning Ney Hall galley with some R.I. Sailors and a Marine.
