Coast Guard, good Samaritans respond to vessel taking on water

The motor vessel Michipicoten, a Canadian flagged 689-foot bulk carrier, provides a lee for a 42-foot sail boat that is taking on water, Aug. 26, 2015, 18 nautical miles east of Alpina, Mich., in Lake Huron. Michipicoten responded to an assistance broadcast put out by U.S. Coast Guard Sector Sault Ste. Marie, Mich.
