The Army’s highest ranking officer, Gen. Raymond Odierno, was at Fort Irwin, Calif., to observe Operation Dragon Spear, an exercise composed of combat power and cutting-edge training by some of the Army's most elite forces. Odierno visited multiple units engaged in the operation, to include 1st Battalion, 94th Field Artillery Regiment, 17th Field Artillery Brigade out of Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash. Odierno recognized a group of 17th FA BDE Soldiers for their work and contributions.
