CAMP TAJI, Iraq -- Although Sgt. Ernest Sanders, team leader, Company B, 62nd Engineer Battalion, 16th Engineer Brigade, Multi-National Division -- Baghdad, and Warrant Officer Kassim Muhammed, carpenter, 9th Iraqi Army Division, don't share a common language, the two said it didn't hinder their ability to communicate while working together to construct a tactical operations center for the 9th IAD here. The two-week partnership, which began April 16, was the first combined construction mission undertaken by the 62d Eng. Bn. Soldiers and 9th IAD engineers. Sanders, of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Muhammed ensure the quality and dimension of trim edging meets the specifications required for the project.
