Sgt. Lindsay Hammer, a nutritional care specialist, received a $1,000 scholarship from the Army Reserve Association National Scholarship Fund. As a nutritional care specialist, she works with the registered dietician doing patient assessments observation of diets. Hammer is only one of several recipients amongst many who applied, and will use the scholarship towards a bachelor’s degree in exercise science with a concentration in food nutrition science at Norfolk State University.
